Work Days: Monday-Friday with occasional nights and weekends

Supervisor: Director of Special Events and Conferences or Assistant Director of Facilities - Business Manager
Position Purpose: Supports Facilities Services in preparing, planning and executing summer events and conferences at the College.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Event Support: Participates in planning meetings and/or events which includes but not limited to supporting location assignments, food orders, transportation arrangements, audio/visual orders, creation of signage and room diagrams. Attends and monitors events for summer conferences.
- Administrative Support: Manages room assignments thru scheduling software. Ensures all residence halls and other facilities are properly prepared; provides customer support where needed. Attends and monitors events for Summer conferences. Creates and assigns work orders. Manages office paperwork and files. Processes invoices.
Qualifications:
- Prior customer service or event support experience highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective computer skills and ability to use and learn new software quickly.

The rate for this position is $15.00 - $16.00 per hour. Position Purpose: Provides support to the Advancement Information Services team by assisting with data entry, web searches, project support and various administrative tasks. Provides flexible support as assigned.

- Locator Services: Conducts web searches to locate and update alumni information including addresses, phone numbers, employment details and graduate school information. Researches updates on corporate partners.
- Database Entry: Updates the database with the latest information from the locator service and other campus departments.
- Project Support: Utilizes Excel and Google Sheets to manage projects efficiently. Creates pivot tables as necessary to analyze and present data effectively. Performs other duties as assigned.

Trolley Driver, On Call
Pay Status and Classification: Temp, part-time.
Supervisor: Transportation Manager
Position Purpose: Provides transportation of Union College students, staff and community members to and from College approved locations following safety protocols
Responsibilities:
- Duties of the driver include a pre-trip inspection of the equipment to be used during the designated route
- Provide the dispatcher with trip information prior to the start of each trip
- Maintain the scheduled times and locations as posted for the Trolley Service
- Report all concerns of vehicle safety, including concerns of safety for the community being served, i.e. road hazards, sick or intoxicated students to the immediate supervisor from Campus Safety

Associate Director for Fraternity & Sorority Life
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full time
Supervisor: Director of Residential Education
Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to students. Shares responsibility with other Associate Directors for residential student staff processes (such as room selection, recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and ongoing development). Carries out the mission of Union College and the Division of Student Affairs.
This position primarily operates on site and requires in-person presence. Additionally, the role offers the opportunity for optional on-campus housing.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greek Community Development & Engagement: Creates a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Greek organizations. Manages and supervises the activities of and provides guidance to various National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations as well as local/unaffiliated organizations. Coordinates recruitment/intake and the annual review processes for all student Greek letter organizations. Designs and implements leadership development programs for the Greek community, including programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning.
- Supervision: Supervises the Community Director for Greek Houses. Indirectly supervises Greek house managers and part-time party monitors. Guides and supports the community director and student staff community development efforts, including the implementation of curricular engagement guides and corresponding assessments.
- Student Health and Safety: Monitors and intervenes with students who may be struggling academically and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues. Refers accordingly to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Understands and enforces Code of Student Conduct and other policies regarding behavior, safety, security, health, and other matters in cooperation with the appropriate offices. Serves as a campus judicial hearing officer. Participates in CARE team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
- Collaboration: Builds relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to advance the Greek Life program and support its mission. Works in collaboration with designated staff in College Relations to interface with fraternity and sorority alumni. Serves as the liaison to national organizations, chapter advisors, and other College departments.
- Administration: Holds regular office hours to address student and staff needs. Manages the budget for the Greek Life department, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses. Attends campus community events. Serves on college committees as assigned. Assists with administrative office duties. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 3-5 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Compliance: Facilitates compliance with all procedures, requirements and timeframes outlined in the College’s Title IX Policy, Gender-based Misconduct Policy, and the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation in Employment. Leads an effort to review and revise policies in response to changes in governing laws, regulations, and guidance. Assures that investigation and resolution processes are conducted in a fair, timely, impartial, respectful, and thorough manner.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Collaborates with colleagues in Student Affairs and Human Resources to identify topics, design and deliver student and employee training including compliance content training (e.g. NCAA Title IX requirements, new student orientation requirements, student training pursuant to New York Education Law Article 129-B, etc.). Coordinates with local organizations and service providers to ensure our community members have access to confidential resources. Manages partnerships with other external agencies with which the College has a partnership in executing its responsibilities under Title IX and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Supervision: Selects, trains, assigns and oversees designated roles including Deputy Title IX Coordinators, investigators, adjudication panel members, appellate panel members and advisors; ensures all are adequately trained in compliance with federal and New York State law.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in a related field such as human resources, law, social justice, higher education administration or a relevant discipline and/or a Juris Doctorate, and a minimum of three years of experience in equal opportunity compliance, Title IX administration, or a related field, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit organizational setting.
- Extensive experience working on compliance with Title IX, Title VII, ADA, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Section 504 and related regulatory requirements.
- Certification and/or training as required by federal and New York State law to serve in the position, or ability to obtain such certification and training prior to commencement of employment.

Athletics Equipment Manager
Supervisor: Assistant Director of Athletics - Business Operations
Pay status and classification: Exempt, Regular full-time. This is a 12-month position.
Position Purpose: Oversees, organizes, and directs all aspects of the athletics equipment area in support of the mission and core values of Union College. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I.

- Safety: Ensures proper fitting and adjustment of equipment for intercollegiate programs to provide a safe environment for student-athletes. - Administration: Oversees the purchasing of equipment and apparel for intercollegiate sport programs. Collaborates with coaches for program needs, create purchase orders, projecting apparel and equipment budgets. Builds relationships with athletics vendors. Continually evaluates policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness of equipment room operations. Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff of work-study workers. Adheres to NCAA, College and athletic department policies. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in athletics equipment operations and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience, including football and ice hockey.
- Knowledge of maintaining equipment for ice hockey and football to ensure safety.
- Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA certification) or the intent to complete the certification once eligible.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends for equipment operations at practices and games, which include home and away contests.

Lecturer of Biomedical Engineering Position at Union College
The Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering at Union College invites applications for a Lecturer of Biomedical Engineering position, beginning Fall 2024. The position is renewable with a contract period of three years. After six years of employment at Union, Lecturers are eligible for promotion to Senior Lecturer with the possibility of contract lengths up to five years. About Union College
Union College is a small and highly selective undergraduate institution with a deep commitment to the creative integration of science and engineering with the humanities and social sciences. In 1845, Union College became the first liberal arts institution in the nation to offer a degree in engineering. We currently offer ABET-accredited degree programs in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. We also have two new engineering majors in Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering. Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $81,000 - $84,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
